Let the Hinks family show you the sights and dive deep into the magic of Maggie. Long-term locals Steph and Adam have dedicated their lives to sharing and educating travellers on the island's diversity. Both qualified Master Reef Guides and their connection to the island began 37 years ago.
The team offer several island-based tours departing the Maggie Island marina and customises their tours to take in the best of the island on any given day.
The discovery tour typically focuses on the island's Southern side, travelling along the rugged coastline before settling in a gem to snorkel and explore, enjoy a sweet morning tea and refreshments coming and going from the boat at your leisure.
The circumnavigation tour will see you discover the most Northern and secluded beaches on Magnetic Island, including the breathtaking Five Bays. You’ll have a light lunch in true island style, either on the boat or the beach. If luck is on your side, you’ll enjoy many wildlife encounters with fish, turtles, eagles, and more as you learn of the history and hear the stories of Yunbenun (Magnetic Island).
Aquascene’s Sunset and Shipwreck tour focuses on the coastline between Nelly and Cockle Bay. Hear the enchanting story of Maggie’s famous shipwreck, the SS City of Adelaide, while you take in one of the island’s incredible sunsets.
Master Reef Guides onboard and qualified Surf Life Saving Lifeguards on every tour.
Aquascene Charters also has a shop front located opposite the IGA Complex. Meet some team members and purchase snorkel equipment, sun-safe rashies, and reef-safe sunscreens.
