LOOKOUTS

WATERFALLS

During the wet season, Yunbenun (Magnetic Island) transforms into a lush and vibrant paradise, with nature in full bloom and waterfalls flowing with renewed energy. This season, typically from November to April, brings life to the island's landscapes as rainfall rejuvenates the flora and fauna.

UNDERWATER WORLD

Magnetic Island's underwater realm showcases Australia's remarkable and varied ecosystems, teeming with marine life and colourful coral formations. Fringing reefs provide an extraordinary chance to experience the splendor and richness of the Great Barrier Reef firsthand, attracting both underwater enthusiasts and nature lovers.

LOCAL TIP

Arrive in Nelly Bay and take the scenic walk to Arcadia via Gabul Way, towards the end of Marine Parade, pop into Pleasure Divers and have a chat with the team about inshore snorkeling, they’ll kit you up and then you can hit our famous Geoffrey Bay Snorkel Trail. Make sure to say hey to the Allied Rock Wallabies who live in the rocky Bremner Point headland directly beside the trail.
